It is with great sadness that we inform our Members of the passing away of our former GNBCC Board Member and current CEO of People’s Pension Trust Mr. Samuel Bediako Waterberg. Samuel passed away last Friday morning 27th of March after a short illness.

Samuel was very active and involved with the GNBCC, he was instrumental as Board Member in the change process from Ghanecc to GNBCC. He came often to our functions and AGM and was very much involved in GNBCC’s wellbeing. He was also very involved in the New Business Challenge (NBC) throughout the years while joining the Challenge as a company, judge and last year as a coach.

He took up the role as NBC coach with great enthusiasm and dedication, the participants learned a lot from him. He was a social entrepreneur with a passion to end old-age poverty in the informal sector through pensions. Foremost he was a family man. We at GNBCC are all devastated and our prayers go out to his wife Judith and the children.

Due to the times we are in, an e-book of condolence has been opened for Samuel. Share your memories of him and your condolences via mail:

On behalf of GNBCC Staff and Board,

Tjalling Wiarda, General Manager.

Note: The GNBCC Office is closed for 2 weeks in line with the lockdown measures of the Ghana Government.
