Ghana International Petroleum Conference 2021

GNBCC Members are invited to participate in the fourth edition of the Ghana International Petroleum Conference (GhIPCON). The event is scheduled to take place virtually on the 10th and 11th of March 2021.

GhIPCON is Ghana’s foremost Downstream Petroleum Conference where policy makers, industry operatives and experts converge to deliberate on issues of policy and operations as well as share ideas and experiences. It is designed to actively bring to the fore the operating industry’s perspective and guidance on issues of government and regulatory policy as well as best practices for the advancement of the industry not only in Ghana but across Africa and beyond.

GhIPCON 2021 is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy in partnership with the National Petroleum Auntority (NPA), the Association of Oil Marketing Companies (AOMCs), the African Refiners & Distributors Association (ARA), Argus Media, S & P Global Platts and Refinitiv.

The theme for this year’s GhIPCON is “Positioning Africa’s Petroleum Downstream for AfCFTA”. This theme is to stimulate regional discussions that will shape African policy on the implementation of the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) in the petroleum downstream industry. It will focus on the readiness of Africa’s petroleum downstream and how policy will be positioned to ensure a smooth transition under AfCFTA.
