Creative Writing Training by GNBCC Staff

For the month of May, GNBCC staff went through a one-month writing and speaking training course to broaden our scope and improve upon our communication and interaction with our members and other stakeholders.

The course was  taught by Mrs. Hajara L. Daniels, professor and founder of the Creative Writing Academy in Ghana.

As the curtains close on our training, we reflect upon the incredible journey we've undertaken, as It has been a transformative experience, one that has expanded our horizons and honed our professional skills.

Our National Service personnel, Naa Ayeley Ayettey, share a brief write up about her experience during the training:

“Over the past month, I’ve had the privilege of taking part in the creative writing class by

As this is one of my very first careers, the creative writing class has been of great help to me. I have received in-depth knowledge on how to draft emails, how to speak in public, and how to go about interviews.

I learned through the class that my stance when speaking in public is very important and that, it is also very crucial to prepare adequately for a public speech. Speech preparation goes beyond craft; it is about self-expression and communication with your listeners.

I also learnt a few things about how to properly address emails and the importance of paying attention to the contents of an email. We went through interviewing skills as well, which shed more light on what to look out for when being interviewed.

Over all, this class was of great benefit to me and has changed how I will be addressing certain tasks going forward.”

To those who are passionate about improving their writing and speaking, and yearn to unlock their creative potential, we wholeheartedly recommend this writing class.
