A very important new act is now in Parliament; it’s the new GIPC act in which the investment thresholds for foreign investors : US$ 200,000.00 for investment through joint venture as well as US$ 500,000.00 for a fully owned company will be lessened to ZERO . This is excellent news for foreign investment opportunities and for Ghanaian companies who want to attract foreign investment for their company . Public Consultations on: Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (Amendment) Bill, 2023

Consultation Period:  July 29, 2024 to Thursday October 31, 2024

The objective of the Bill is to amend the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre Act, 2012 (Act 865) to provide for the conversion of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre to the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority, for the appointment of a Deputy Chief Executive for the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority and related matters.

An ACT to provide for the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority as an agency of Government responsible for the encouragement and promotion of investment in Ghana, to provide for the creation of an attractive incentive framework and a transparent, predictable and facilitating environment for investment in Ghana and for related matters.
