GNBCC Participates in 2025 Ghana-EU Business Forum

The GNBCC proudly participated in the 2025 Ghana-EU Business Forum, held from 20th to 21st May at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra. As an institutional partner, GNBCC joined hands with other key stakeholders including the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), EUROCHAM, and other chambers and organizations to contribute to the success of this high-profile event.

With over 900 participants in attendance, the two-day forum served as a vibrant platform for dialogue and partnership between Ghanaian and European stakeholders. GNBCC hosted an exhibition booth where our team engaged with numerous participants, providing insight into our ongoing efforts to support and empower the private sector in Ghana.

Two of our member organizations, OMNIBSIC Bank and PharmAccess, were also present with their own booths. The GNBCC team took the opportunity to visit and support their exhibitions during the event.

The forum, themed around deepening Ghana-EU cooperation on trade and investment in non-traditional value chains under the EU Global gateway strategy highlighted key sectors for bilateral collaboration. The focus sectors for this year were:

  • Pharmaceuticals and Vaccines

  • Renewable Energy

  • Agriculture and Agribusiness

Each sector was explored through panel discussions, targeted breakout sessions, an exhibition, and a "speed dating" segment designed to foster networking and partnership building. These sessions were well-attended and demonstrated a high level of engagement from both Ghanaian and European participants.

The opening ceremony featured a keynote address by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, who emphasized the need for economic diversification and encouraged increased EU investment in Ghana. He applauded the growing trade dynamics between Ghana and the EU, citing a significant €6.7 billion in bilateral trade volume.

Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister of Trade and Agribusiness, also addressed the forum, presenting concrete proposals aimed at expanding Ghanaian access to EU markets and deepening trade relations.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the EU Delegation to Ghana, Global Gateway, and all organizing partners for making this event a resounding success. GNBCC remains committed to fostering sustainable business partnerships and advocating for policies that drive inclusive growth.
